The remarkable events of our own
wonderful and terrible century bring startling insight to Biblical prophecy
and give further clarification of the key points mankind must understand
regarding The Rapture, the
Apocalypse, Armageddon and the Millennium. Blended together are numerous
historical strands converging in a pattern of Biblical prophecy. These strands
include the emergence of the Jews in history, God’s unique revelation
to them preserved in Hebrew scriptures, the impact of the Age of the Gentiles
on the Jews and world history from 500 B.C. to A.D. 1948, the fulfillment of
God’s revelation to the Jews in Jesus Christ and the Christian
scriptures and the Jewish legacy in and beyond the Christian church. Interwoven among these strands are God’s concern for human evil, summarized as sin,
and God’s promise of ultimate triumph over human evil. Sensitivity to
God’s past activity documented in history and awareness of trends
leading to future fulfillment make up the substance of Biblical prophecy. As
these strands interact, persons of faith are studying what human
decisions can be made and how to adjust in the great drama of good over evil
in the coming End Times. Each of these various strands in
Biblical prophecy, treated in separate chapters, is like a single radius
of a circle, each pointing to the center, to the central core of
prophecy. Some readers accustomed to
“straight line” deductive reasoning may be confused when each
radius intersects the core meaning at the center. As this single strand meets
the center, some people may feel an unnecessary repetition if the center is
in focus, or if the train of thought in one radius of the circle is related
to another. There are three explanations for this
repetition. The first reason is focus on the central theme, the arrival at
the central core that reinforces the essential message of The Rapture,
the Apocalypse, Armageddon and the Millennium. Communicators in
scientific studies, and the experience of education itself, have proved that
all new material is more thoroughly comprehended and more easily
retained through repetition. Besides emphasizing the thesis of the
book, the second reason for reiteration is that it provides the basis of
known or understood material to which the new can be attached. Marshall
McLuhan, in his revolutionary works on communication and media, stated
that most books contain only five percent of new material not presented by
someone in previous publications. He apologized when he said he was giving
about thirty percent new material. Most of the material in The Rapture,
the Apocalypse, Armageddon and the Millennium is found in the
author’s previous writings. What is new is the clarity of integration
of historical, religious, and cultural impact toward the trends of our times
with unique charts to clarify and enlighten the subject matter. Different
material presented in each chapter may augment the central theme,
explain a supporting factor in more detail, or describe an alternative
perspective more fully. What is
most important is the third reason for repetition, and that is to make each
section or chapter complete in itself. In only a few instances have we
referred discussions in one chapter to references in another.
Where necessary facts in the context of one chapter are also relevant in
another chapter, we have not referred the reader to the pages where the facts
common to two or more chapters were first stated. Often in either simple or
thorough-going discussions the same factors are frequently considered by
persons with varying perspectives. We write about prophecy with primary
concern for the totality of God’s Word. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling,
and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with
exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be
glory, and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. (Jude 24 & 25) —Ronald
M. Jadasohn, Ph.D., Litt.D. Golden Rule of Interpretation When the plain sense of Scripture
makes common sense, seek no other sense; therefore, take every word at its
primary, ordinary, usual, literal meaning unless the facts of the
immediate content, studied in the light of related passages and axiomatic and
fundamental truths, indicates clearly otherwise. To order your copy of Rapture Apocalypse Armageddon
