OLIVET DISCOURSE

(Leviy 24.1-25.46; Mk 13.1-37; Lk 21.5-36)

The teaching that YAHSHUA gave His disciples while at the Mount of Olives was recorded by Leviy, Markos and Dr. Loukas. The accounts are different, but not contradictory. All of them must be compared to have a full understanding. Loukas 17.22-37 must also be compared. It is very similar to the Olivet Discourse, but it was given prior to it.

Prophecy of the Temple's Destruction

(Leviy 24.1-3; Mk 13.1-4; Lk 21.5-7)

As YAHSHUA left the temple His disciples approached Him to show Him the buildings of the temple. And while some were talking about the temple, one of His disciples said, "Teacher, behold, what great stones and what great buildings." He answered saying, "Do you see these things, all these great buildings? These things which you behold; truly I tell you the days will come in which by there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down."

As He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, His disciples, Keph, Yaaqob, Yochanan and Andreas, approached to question Him privately saying, "Teacher, tell us when these things will be and what the sign will be when these things are going to be fulfilled--Your presence and the completion of the age?"

YAHSHUA apparently came from the temple alone and His disciples were waiting for Him when they started bragging about the beauty of the temple. He responded by bluntly saying not one stone would be left on another. This startled the disciples who apparently contemplated what that could mean while YAHSHUA walked across the valley to the Mount of Olives. When He sat down to rest they asked him when the temple would be destroyed, and what would be the sign of His Second Advent and the end of the age.

The disciples had heard YAHSHUA predict the destruction of the temple (Lk 19.41-44), but had not taken it seriously. Now they gave it careful consideration. They thought He would close out the age they were living in when He returned to establish His Kingdom (Leviy 16.27; 25.14-46; Lk 17.20-37; 19.11-27). They did not understand He would die, be resurrected, ascend to Heaven and then return to Earth. They thought He was going on a long journey and return in their lifetime (Leviy 10.23; Yoch 16.16-23)--that is why His prediction that the temple would be destroyed disturbed them.

They thought His return would end the age they lived in. Some speculate that the disciples were asking three questions that were not related. They contend that the destruction of the temple, YAHSHUA'S second Advent and the end of the age are separated by a thousand years or more, and that the disciples understood this. This doesn't make sense. The disciples thought the temple would be destroyed just prior to or when YAHSHUA returned, and that His return would end the age--that is why they asked these questions.

Beginning of Birth-Pangs

(Leviy 24.4-8; Mk 13.5-8; Lk 21.8-11)

YAHSHUA answered and said to them, "See that no one causes you to err for many will come in my name saying, `I am the Mashiyach,' and `The time is at hand,' and will cause many to err--do not go after them. But you will be about to hear of wars, disturbances and rumors of wars. Do not be disturbed, for it must happen, and the end is not immediately." Then He said to them, "For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and great earthquakes in various places, and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven; but all these things are the beginning of birth-pangs."

These verses concern the first half of the Great Tribulation. During this time many false messiahs will try to mislead the elect and the wicked. There will be a more than the usual amount of false messiahs.

There has been false messiahs (antichrist), teachers and prophets since the start of the Assembly Age (Acts 20.29,30; 2 Keph 2.1; I Yoch 2.18; 4.1), but the massive plague of these deceivers will strike the Earth when the Assembly is raptured and only 144,000 witnesses are raised up to spread the gospel of the kingdom (Apok 7.4-8). With tens of millions of believers gone and only 144,000 witnesses to take their place satan's ministers of deception will have a field day.

At the start of the Great Tribulation there will be wars and rumors of wars between nations and kingdoms. There have been wars and rumors of wars throughout history, but during the Great Tribulation there will be an unprecedented number of wars (Apok 6.3,4). Some of the fighting will be by demonic creatures that are released from the territory of the Euphrates River (Apok 9.14-19). This demon army of 200 million will kill one-third of mankind (Apok 9.18).

There will also be great earthquakes during the first half of the Great Tribulation (Apok 6.12-17; 8.5) along with plagues and famines throughout the world. Plagues and famines are the natural result of wars (Apok 6.5-8). One-half of the world's population is wiped out from the wars, plagues and famines (Apok 6.8; 9.18).

To top it off during the first half of the Great Tribulation which most prophecy teachers claim is peaceful there will be terrors and great signs from heaven (Apok 6.12,14-17; 8.5,7-12).

These things are the birth pangs of the Great Tribulation. The Great Tribulation begins with birth pangs during the first half of it and then the full fury of YAHWEH'S wrath is released in the second half (Apok 15.1; 16.1-21; 18.1-24).

Persecution of the Elect During the Great Tribulation

(Leviy 24.9-14; Mk 13.9-13; Lk 21.12-19)

"But be on your guard for before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you and deliver you up to tribulation. They will kill you and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name. They will deliver you up to courts and prisons, and synagogues where you will be flogged. You will stand before governors and kings for My name's sake as a testimony to them. And to all the nations the gospel must be proclaimed first. When they arrest you and deliver you up it will lead to an opportunity for your testimony. Do not be anxious beforehand what to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour. Put it in your heart not to practice beforehand to defend yourselves for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all those opposing you will be able to withstand or contradict.

"Then many will be offended and will deliver one another, and they will hate one another. A brother will deliver a brother to death, and a father a child. Children will rise up against parents

and will put them to death. You will be hated by all men on account of My name, yet by no means will a hair of your head perish. It is the one who endures to the end who will be saved for by your endurance you will gain your souls. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the inhabited Earth, and then the end will come."

The phrase "But before all these things," does not mean before the things prophesied start, but before they conclude--during the time of their fulfillment. YAHSHUA said that believers will be persecuted from the start of the Great Tribulation. We know persecution of believers is tremendous during the tribulation because a great multitude is martyred during the "Great Tribulation" (Apok 6.9-11; 7.9,14).

Believers will be persecuted by secular courts and also by the Jews in their synagogues. They will be put in prison and killed. Some will have the opportunity to speak before governors and kings (presidents, prime ministers, etc.). They and all believers are to rely on the HOLY SPIRIT to speak through them rather than devise their own defence.

Families will turn on each other handing those who believe in YAHSHUA to the authorities to be killed. Untold millions of believers will be executed during the Great Tribulation by the beast and his minions (Apok 20.4). Those who remain alive at the Second Advent of YAHSHUA will be physically saved and enter the Millennial Kingdom in physical bodies.

Martyrs who remain faithful to YAHSHUA, who do not take the mark of the beast or worship him, will save their souls. Salvation is by faith through all dispensations, but during the Great Tribulation the proof of salvation is refraining from taking the mark of the beast and not worshipping him. Anyone who does this is not truly born from above.

The statement that not a hair of their head would perish does not mean believers would not die. It means that everything that happens to believers during the tribulation is in accordance to His will. This is true of all saints in all dispensations. YAHWEH is sovereign and nothing bad can happen to one of His children unless it is discipline (Ibriy 12.5,6) or He gives the devil permission to harm him (Iyob 1.12; 2.6). When bad things do happen to believers YAHWEH causes them to work together for good to those who love Him, to those who are called according to His purpose (Rom 8.28).

During the Great Tribulation believers will be hated by the wicked. The reason for this intense hatred will be the name of YAHSHUA. The wicked have always hated YAHSHUA (Yoch 15.18) and will throughout eternity. They hate believers because we proclaim salvation through YAHSHUA, the only way to YAHWEH (Yoch 14.6; Acts 4.12). The wicked either want to get to Heaven through their works or not at all. In all cases the wicked hate to be reminded of YAHSHUA for they know they will eventually be judged for their sins (Rom 1.18-20; 2.14,15)

During the first half of the Great Tribulation believers will evangelize the entire world. When the beast captures Yerushalom and leads everyone who opposed him into captivity throughout the world (Lk 21.20-25), evangelism is turned over to the two witnesses (Apok 11.3) and angels (Apok 14.6-11).

Second Half of the Great Tribulation

(Leviy 24.15-28; Mk 13.14-23; Lk 21.20-24)

"But when you see Yerushalom surrounded by camps, then understand that its destruction is at hand. Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation spoken through Daniel the prophet standing where it should not, in the Holy Place, (let the reader understand), then let those in Yahudah flee to the mountains, and let those in the midst of the city depart, and let those in the districts not enter into the city, because these are the days of vengeance that all things which have been written will be fulfilled. Let those on the housetop not come down or enter in to take things out of his house, and the one in the field not turn back to get his coat. Woe to the pregnant women and to those who nurse in those days for there will be great distress on the land and wrath to this people. They will fall by the edge of the sword and will be led captive to all the nations, and Yerushalom will be trodden down by the nations until the times of the nations is accomplished.

"Pray that your flight is not in the winter or on the Sabbath for then there will be great affliction, such as has not happened from the beginning of the creation of the world which YAHWEH created, until now and never shall be. Unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would be saved, but on account of the chosen whom He chose, He shortened the days. Then if anyone says to you, `Behold, here the Messiah,' or `Here,' do not believe for false messiahs and false prophets will be raised, and they will give great signs and marvels, so as to cause to err, if possible, even the chosen. But see, I have told you all things before.

"If therefore they say to you, `Behold, He is in the desert,' do not go forth, `Behold, in the private rooms,' do not believe. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines to the west, so will be the presence of the Son of Man. Wherever the carcass is, there will the eagles be assembled."

The abomination of desolation marks the midpoint of the Great Tribulation. This event signals the beginning of the greatest time of tribulation in the history of the world. The tribulation from satan, his horde of fallen angels, and the beast and his minions will be severe. It will be worse than all previous persecutions by the forces of darkness and wickedness (Eph. 6.12). The tremendous persecution by the forces of evil will be minimal compared to the final wrath of YAHWEH, which will be greater than at any other time in history (Apok 16.1-21; 18.1-24). The tribulation will be so great that if YAHWEH let it go on more than 3 and a half years everyone would be killed and no one would be alive to enter the Millennial Kingdom. As it is very few people survive (2 Yah. 13.12).

The abomination of desolation was prophesied by Daniel (9.27). The beast (little horn) confirms a covenant with many nations at

the start of the Great Tribulation. This covenant is made prior to his rise to power and he merely confirms it. His confirmation is the official beginning of the Great Tribulation. It lasts seven years and in the middle of the covenant the he puts an end to the sacrifices that are made in the temple in Israel. He also takes his seat in the temple and declares himself to be "God" (2 Thes. 2.4). Putting a stop to the sacrifices is not the abomination of desolation. It is the act of declaring himself to be "God" that is an abomination.

When the beast comes to Jerusalem to set up shop he surrounds the city to take it by force. The people resist and are defeated. Half of them are sent into captivity into all the world (Zak. 14.2). The World Church (Apok 17.1-5) that operates in Jerusalem prior to this invasion moves its headquarters to Babel afterward (Zak 5.7-11). The conditions in Jerusalem are no longer conducive to running the world's religious and economic systems, especially since the two witnesses strike the world with myriad plagues (Apok 11.3-6). They will most likely set up shop on the temple grounds.

Believers and the wicked are warned to flee from Jerusalem and hide in the mountains when the beast comes with his army. Some will, but most will probably stay and suffer the consequences. His assault of Jerusalem is so rapid that people will not have time to pack their bags. If they are quick enough they will make it out with the clothes on their backs. Women with infant children will be fortunate to escape and if the attack comes in the winter few will be able to escape with their lives.

This cannot refer to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. because the abomination of desolation occurs at the same time. Some claim General Titos did something that was the abomination of desolation, but he had no chance. The temple was burned down before he got there.

If the account in Loukas is a different account it could be 70 A.D. If that is true the entire Olivet Discourse is told in a disconnected way and anyone can make of it what they will. Unfortunately, virtually all prophecy buffs have done just that. They invent special laws of return and other nonsense to make later statements refer to an event before the Great Tribulation begins. The most absurd twisting of Scriptures is the belief that the parable of the fig tree signifies a return to before the Great Tribulation starts and everything after that phrase (Leviy 24.32-44) occurs before it. They actually teach that the rapture mentioned is the Pre-Tribulation Rapture. They slough off the phrase "Where the body is, there also will the vultures be gathered" (Lk 17.37).

During the second half of the Great Tribulation there will be more false messiahs and prophets who will perform many signs and wonders which will be spectacular. They will almost, but not quite, mislead the elect. Believers will not be fooled because they will know that YAHSHUA will return quickly with the speed of lightning and wipe out the armies of the world that are mobilized on the plains of Megiddo to fight against Him (Apok 16.14,16). He doesn't come to Earth and hide out somewhere. He wipes out the wicked as He comes to Earth, and after wiping them out in an instant with His Word (Apok 19.15) He sets foot on the Mount of Olives (Zak 14.4).

"The phrase "Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather" (Leviy 24.28), refers to the plain of Megiddo. At a time previous to His giving the Olivet Discourse YAHSHUA spoke about the Great Tribulation. He said it would be a time similar to the days of Noach and Lot, and that a great number of people would be raptured to an un-designated place at the conclusion of the tribulation. When the disciples asked YAHSHUA where they are taken to and He said, "Where the body is, there also will the vultures be gathered" (Lk 17.37). Some who do not voluntarily fight in the battle of Har-Megiddon are raptured and tossed into the battle to be killed. The ones left behind are not the elect for they have already been raptured to safety (Leviy 24.31).

Some of the unsaved who survive the Great Tribulation are not raptured to the plains of Megiddo. They remain alive to stand before YAHSHUA at the judgment of the nations (Leviy 25.31-46). They will be judged guilty and cast into the Lake of Fire to join the beast and false prophet (Apok 19.20; 20.10). They suffer the torments of the Lake of Fire for 1,000 years before the rest of the dead are judged and join them (Apok 20.11-15).

We know they are cast into the Lake of Fire and not hell because that is the place that was created specifically for satan and his angels (Leviy 25.41). The judgement of the nations is not the Great White Throne Judgement (Apok 20.11-15) because this judgement takes place immediately after YAHSHUA returns to Earth (Leviy 25.31-33). The Great White Throne Judgement occurs at the end of the Millennial Kingdom, 1,000 years later (Apok 19.11-20.1-4,11-15).

YAHSHUA told His disciples to take heed to His teaching (Mk 13.23). He did this again a few days later during the Passover supper (Yoch 13.19; 14.29; 16.4). This message was not given for the benefit of the disciples, but for those who live through the Great Tribulation. It was also given for the benefit of all believers of the Assembly Age for our edification.

Second Advent of YAHSHUA

(Leviy 24.29-31; Mk 13.24-27; Lk 21.25-28)

"But immediately after the tribulation of those days there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the Earth anxiety of nations in perplexity of the sound of the sea and the surf, men fainting from fear and expectation of the things coming on the inhabited Earth. The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling out of heaven. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the land will bewail and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and much glory. And He will sent forth His angels with a great trumpet, and they will assemble His chosen ones out of the four winds from the extremities of heaven.

When these things begin to happen, stand erect and lift up your heads because your redemption draws near."

Just before YAHSHUA returns the Earth will be going through massive convulsions. The waves of the oceans will be much larger than normal. The coastal regions will be bombarded with massive breakers. The unusual activity of the oceans will cause people to fear the worse. This could be caused by a polar shift, a partial melting of the polar ice caps, a shift in the moon's orbit or a combination of these.

Along with the roaring of the waves, the sun and the moon will be darkened. This could be from natural causes or be supernatural. Some may think they know the cause of the sun and moon being darkened, but it doesn't matter. We can't stop it and even if we knew it won't help those who live through the Great Tribulation. Speculation is best left to the sensationalists who speculate about everything.

The heavens will be shaken and stars will fall from the sky. The shaking of the heavens is the work of YAHWEH for He is the only one who can shake them (2 Yah-Is. 13.13; Yoel 3.16; Hag 2.6,21; Ibriy-Heb. 12.26). The devil can only shake the nations (2 Yah 14.16), not the heavens.

The stars falling out of the sky could be literal in that asteroids and comets will strike the Earth just prior to the Second Advent. Since the heavens will be physically shaken it is logical that asteroids and comets could be moved out of their natural course and strike the Earth. The time when these things begin will probably be a few weeks before the Lord's return. It would take the asteroids in the asteroid belt only a few days to strike the Earth once they are moved out of their orbit.

Immediately before YAHSHUA returns His sign will appear in the sky. It is anyone's guess what that sign is and it doesn't matter. Even if one could correctly guess it wouldn't matter. Everyone on Earth sees the sign and they cry. They will probably cry because they know judgement time is at hand.

When YAHSHUA returns to Earth everyone will see Him as He comes on clouds. He returns in the same manner that He left (Acts 1.11). The clouds most likely are a supernatural substance. It is possible that they are normal clouds that YAHSHUA use for reasons only He knows (Ps. 104.3). Either way it doesn't matter. He will return on clouds, whatever they are, just as He left.

YAHSHUA will also be accompanied by His holy angels (2 Thes 2.7) and by believers of the Assembly Age (Apok 19.7,8,14). We will be riding flying, white horses just as YAHSHUA does while the angels will come in their chariots of fire--space ships (2 Kings 2.11; 6.17). Angels travel in space ships (Ps 68.17) and will come with YAHSHUA in them (2 Yah-Is. 66.15).

When He returns He will execute the wicked who have gathered on the plains of Megiddo to do battle with Him (Apok 17.14). He will slay them with fire that comes from His mouth. He kills them with the sword from His mouth. That sword is a laser beam or something similar for the wicked are destroyed by fire (2 Yah-Is. 66.15,16). He also shoots laser rays from His fingers to kill the wicked (Hab. 3.4).

YAHSHUA makes a side trip to Teman (Edom) before He returns for the entire world to see Him. This stop-off is made in secret with only those He annihilates knowing about it. He slaughters the Edomites, every man, woman and child (2 Yah 63.1-6). The destruction of Edom is total (2 Yah 34.5-15) and the land is left desolate throughout the Millennial Kingdom (2 Yah 34.10-15).

YAHSHUA gets so close to the action that the blood of the Edomites splatters on His clothes (2 Yah 63.1-3; Apok 19.13). He could handle this act of vengeance alone or we could be with Him along with the holy angels. The Scriptures do not make it clear if we accompany Him.

Many so-called Bible scholars claim that Edom was wiped out in the First Century A.D. That isn't so. They must remain in existence as a specific group of people with an identifiable nation. Their identity to the world may be hidden, but they do exist and have a viable nation today. They will reject YAHSHUA through the Great Tribulation just as they have for nearly 2,000 years and they will be wiped out when He returns.

Before YAHSHUA wipes out the wicked He raptures them to the plains of Megiddo to slaughter them and then raptures the righteous to be with Him. The wicked are raptured first by the angels in their space ships (Leviy 13.30,39-42), who dump them on the plains of Megiddo. The angels then gather the righteous in their space ships and deliver them to YAHSHUA (Leviy 13.30,43).

The wicked, who were executed by YAHSHUA, stand before Him to be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire (Leviy 25.31-33,41-46; 13.41,42). The wicked who are in hell remain there for 1,000 years (Apok 20.5) before they are judged at the Great White Throne Judgement (Apok 20.11-15).

The narration of the sequence of events ends with YAHSHUA's words of encouragement for the tribulation saints to look up when they see these things take place (Lk 21.28). The remainder of the discourse is further explanation of the tribulation.

Details About the Great Tribulation

(Leviy 24.32-51; Mk 13.28-37; Lk 21.36)

And He told them a parable: "Behold learn the parable of the fig tree, and all the trees; when its branch has already become tender, as soon as they put forth leaves, you see it and know for yourselves that the summer is now near; even so you too, when you see all these things happening, recognize that He is near, at the door, that the kingdom of YAHWEH is near. Truly I tell you that by no means will this generation pass away until all these things take place. The heaven and the Earth will pass away, but my words by no means will pass away.

"But concerning that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels of Heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. For as the days of Noach, so will be the presence of the Son of Man. For as they were in those days before the flood, eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the day that Noach entered into the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so will be the presence of the Son of Man. Then there will be two men in the field, one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding in the mill, one will be taken and one will be left.

"Take heed therefore, keep on the alert, for you do not know when the appointed time is, which day your Lord is coming. Know this: If the homeowner knew in what watch the thief is coming he would have watched and would not have allowed his house to be dug through. Therefore, you also be ready, because the Son of Man will come in an hour you do not expect--as a man goes away leaving his home he gives his slaves authority, to each his work, and he commands the doorkeeper to keep watch.

"Who then is the faithful and prudent slave whom the lord appointed over his household, to give to them the food in season? Blessed is that slave whom the lord will find him doing when he comes. Truly I tell that he will appoint him over all his goods. But if that wicked slave says in his heart, `My lord delays,' and begins to strike his fellow slaves, and eats and drinks with drunkards; his lord will come on a day which he does not expect and in an hour in which he does not know. He will cut him asunder and his portion will be in the place with the hypocrites where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

"Watch therefore; for you do not know when the lord of the house comes, either late or at midnight or when the rooster crows or at dawn; lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. Take heed to yourselves lest your hearts become burdened dissipation and drunkenness and the anxieties of life; and that day come suddenly on you as a snare; for it will come on everyone living on the face of the whole Earth. But be watchful at all times begging that you may be able to escape all these things that are about to happen, and to stand before the Son of man. And what I say to you I say to all, `Watch!'"

The parable of the fig tree has nothing to do with the nation of Yisrael. Most so-called prophecy teachers claim it is symbolic of the nation of Israel being reborn as a nation. There is nothing to even hint of this. Even though Yisrael is referred to as a fig tree (Hosh. 9.10) this reference is not about Yisrael.

If it is the branch becoming tender would not be the rebirth of Yisrael, but its age of maturity. Fruit trees are not mature until the fourth year (Lev. 19.23,24). If the reference were of Israel the rapture should have taken place in 1988, forty years after it was founded. It has been almost 50 years and still no rapture. Obviously the reference is to be taken literally.

YAHSHUA told His disciples, but more importantly those alive at the time of the Great Tribulation, that when they saw the things happen that he just described they would know for certain that He would soon return. Just as summer quickly follows the blooming of the fig tree so shall YAHSHUA return immediately after everything He described happens.

This statement was given specifically for those who live through the Great Tribulation. It will seem to those who are saved during this time that the tribulation they endure will go on forever. YAHSHUA used the parable of the fig tree to give them comfort in knowing the tribulation would not go on for decades.

He added that the generation that goes through the Great Tribulation would not die out before everything takes place. This was added encouragement for believers not to give up.

Some say that the Greek word "genea" which is translated "generation" can also be translated "nation" or "race." This is true, but the context does not allow for it because YAHSHUA said the Ibriy people would be alive at the time. The use of "you" when speaking to the disciples is a corporate you. The abomination of desolation can only occur if the Ibriy people are still around. The statement about the sabbath (Leviy 24.20) is more evidence that they will be a nation in the last days. They have to be alive because there will be synagogues during the Great Tribulation (Mk 13.9).

To give the tribulation saints more comfort YAHSHUA stated that the universe would some day pass away, but His Word never would. This is a colorful way of saying He keeps His Word. They can be assured that if they are not martyred they will certainly see him return.

The statement that no one can know the day or hour of that day was not a reference to the Pre-Tribulation Rapture, but to the Second Advent of YAHSHUA. He described specific events which will take place beforehand. They are: The abomination of desolation (v. 15); the Great Tribulation (v. 21); false messiahs will perform great signs and wonders (v. 23,24) and; the sun will be darkened, the moon won't give its light, the stars will fall to Earth and the powers of heaven will be shaken (v. 29).

These events occur before the Second Advent NOT before the Rapture! This quote is given at the conclusion of His prophetic message.

The Greek word "eido" that is translated "knows" means to be aware of something by seeing it or through intuition (Strong's 1492). The other Greek word that is often translated "know" is "ginosko." It means to know for certain (Strong's 1097), a knowledge that comes from careful study.

What YAHSHUA actually said is: No one alive in His time could see into the future and pick the day that He would return, not even the angels or Himself, but only the Father.

YAHSHUA didn't know the day of His Second Advent because He voluntarily gave up knowledge of certain things when He came to Earth. He did not give up His divinity, but voluntarily "emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men" (Philippians 2:7).

Paulos makes it clear in his first letter to the Thessalonians that believers who are walking in the light at the end of the age will know when the Rapture will occur. We will know by the seasons (5:1) and YAHSHUA will rapture His own as a thief in the night (5:2) when everyone is saying peace and safety (5:3).

That day will not surprise SPIRIT filled believers who are "looking for that blessed hope, and the appearing of the glory of our great Mighty One and Savior, YAHSHUA Mashiyach" (Titos 2:13).

We also know: "From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days" until YAHSHUA returns (Daniel 12:11). A person could simply count 1,290 days from when the beast causes the sacrifices in the temple to stop (Dan. 9:27) and know exactly when YAHSHUA will return. This confirms that "eido," to know by intuition, is what YAHSHUA said.

Now that we know that there is no declaration in the Scriptures that no one can know the day or hour of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture can we know the exact day it will occur?

There are seven major feasts which were celebrated by the Ibriy (Hebrew) people (Leviticus 23). They are Passover (14th of Nisan), Unleavened Bread (15th of Nisan), First Fruits (1st day after the sabbath after Passover), Weeks-Pentecost (50 days after First Fruits), Trumpets (1st of Tishri), Atonement (10th of Tishri) and Tabernacles or Booths (15th of Tishri).

Four of these feasts were fulfilled by YAHSHUA during His First Advent. He died on Passover (Yochanan-John 13:1; 19:17,18) being the final Passover Lamb (Yoch. 1:29). His death makes it unnecessary to sacrifice animals anymore (Ibriy 9:26).

He was buried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Yoch 19:42) and rose from the tomb on the Feast of First Fruits (Leviy 28:1-7; Markos 16:1-7; Loukas 24:1-8) being the First Fruit (I Kor. 15:20-23). On Pentecost 120 believers were "filled with the HOLY SPIRIT" (Acts 2:1-4). The fourth of the seven feasts was fulfilled leaving three that have yet to be fulfilled.

The remaining three feasts await fulfillment and they will also be fulfilled on the exact day of each feast. The Rapture will be the fulfillment of the Feast of Trumpets (I Kor 15:52; I Thes. 4:16,17). The Second Advent of YAHSHUA will fulfill the Feast of Atonement and the establishing of YAHSHUA'S Millennial Kingdom on Earth will be the fulfillment of the Feast of Booths.

Of the three major events to come the Rapture will take place first, therefore it will occur on the day of the next feast which is the Feast of Trumpets. We cannot know several years in advance which year the Rapture will occur, but we know the day it will take place.

The exact year will be hard to know several years in advance, but we will know that year when it comes. There will be a worldwide economic collapse followed by a universal economic and political peace agreement which will be negotiated prior to and possibly completed before the Rapture. This hope for peace and safety is what Paulos prophesied (I Thes. 5:3). The beast will come on the scene prior to the Rapture and finalize or confirm the peace treaty (Daniel 9.27).

This false peace comes before the Rapture because "...you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief" (I Thes. 5:4).

The confirmation of the peace treaty marks the beginning of Yaaqob's trouble (Yirmeyah 30:7) which will last seven years and be the "destruction" that comes "upon them suddenly like birth pangs upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape" (I Thes. 5:3).

SPIRIT filled believers will not be overtaken (surprised) by the Rapture for they will be looking for the appearing of YAHSHUA (Titos 2:13) and know the "times and epochs" (I Thes. 5:1).

We also know that YAHWEH "does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets" (Amoc 3:7). Is it possible YAHWEH has revealed when the Rapture is through the feasts?

The Second Advent will take the wicked by surprise just as the flood did. Many so-called Bible scholars argue that the reference here is to the Pre-Tribulation Rapture. They say the Second Advent is not a surprise because everyone will know when it is. All you have to do is count 1290 days from the day that the beast stops the regular sacrifice and sets up the abomination of desolation to know the day of YAHSHUA'S return (Dan 12.11). We know that the wicked are waiting for YAHSHUA when He returns because the Scripture says so (Apok 17.14; 19.19).

The wicked in the Great Tribulation know the day that YAHSHUA will return and they are waiting for Him. The wicked in the days of Noach knew that destruction was coming upon them by the preaching of Noach (2 Keph 2.5). The wicked know when the Lord will return, but they do not believe they will be judged. Some believe they will defeat Him in battle while others think they will escape judgement because they were good.

Most unbelievers will be ignorant of the time of YAHSHUA'S return and will be totally surprised. Even though everyone on Earth will hear the gospel of the kingdom (Leviy 24.14) preached by the 144,000 witnesses (Apok 7.3-8), the two witnesses (Apok 11.3-7), and the angels (Apok 14.6-11) they will not believe it. They will go about their merry way, as best they can during the myriad plagues that are poured out on the Earth, until the end catches them by surprise as it did the people in the days of Noach.

Some argue that the wicked will not go about life as usual because of the devastating wars and plagues, but they will. The Scriptures are clear on this matter. Throughout the Great Tribulation the wicked will engage in the normal activities of life, including marriage and parties (Apok 18.22,23).

We know that the rapture spoken of here is not the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the righteous to glory, but the rapture of the wicked to destruction. The context proves this for it is the wicked who are spoken of here. The "they" in the days of Noach are the wicked who were partying and marrying until the flood "took them all away." The clincher is the place that they are taken to. Prior to the Olivet discourse YAHSHUA explained what it would be like just before His return. At the end of that discourse His disciples asked where those who are raptured will be taken to and He answered, "Where the body is, there also will the vultures be gathered" (Lk 17.37).

The vultures are the birds that gather for the "great supper of YAHWEH" (Apok 19.17). The people who are raptured just before YAHSHUA returns are the wicked, not the elect. They are gathered up by the holy angels (Leviy 13.36-42) and dumped onto the plains of Megiddo where they are wiped out by YAHSHUA. He will execute them with the sword of His mouth (Apok 19.15) which is most likely a laser or something similar (Hab 3.4). The wicked will be roasted alive (2 Yah-Is. 26.11; Ibriy 10.27) and then eaten by the birds of the Earth. The wicked will be judged (Leviy 32,33) and then be cast into the Lake of Fire (Leviy 13.42; 25.41,46).

Common sense tells us that this rapture is of the wicked immediately prior to the Second Advent because it is given during a discourse on the Great Tribulation. It makes no sense for YAHSHUA to refer to an event that has nothing to do with the subject. The Assembly is not mentioned in this discourse and should not be inserted to fit a person's preconceived belief. It is always best to let the Scriptures speak for themselves rather than twist them (2 Keph 3.16) to fit their doctrines.

Some argue that this rapture is of the righteous before the Great Tribulation because the rain did not fall and take away the wicked until seven days after Noach entered the ark (Gen 7.10). This symbol could be used if it were not for that of Lot.

In the first discourse on the Second Advent, YAHSHUA said He would return during a time when people would be living as they did in the days of Lot. He added that they were destroyed by fire on the very day that Lot departed from Cedom. You cannot say the reference to Noach is symbolic of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture while the one to Lot is not. Both are symbolic of the same event--the rapture of the wicked to the plains of Megiddo.

We know that this rapture is of the wicked because there are two raptures before YAHSHUA returns. There is the rapture of the righteous (Apok. 14.14-16) and the wicked (Apok 14.17-20). The later is of the wicked for they are thrown into the wine press of the wrath of YAHWEH. The righteous are raptured to safety by the holy angels (Leviy 13.30; 24.31).

The two raptures described in chapter 14 of the Apokalupsis are two distinct raptures and not one rapture described twice. The rapture of the righteous to safety is described first, but it actually takes place after the rapture of the wicked to Megiddo (Leviy 13.30). The account of the two raptures in the Apokalupsis is apparently not described in chronological order.

The ones who are left from the rapture described in Leviy 24, Markos 13 and Loukas 17 are the righteous who are then raptured (gathered) by the holy angels and taken to safety (Leviy 24.31).

The ones who are warned to be on the alert for the return of YAHSHUA are the Ibriy, not those who are saved during the Great Tribulation. We know that they are not the elect because those who are not waiting for His return end up with the hypocrites (Leviy 24.51). The parables of the virgins and the talents (Leviy 25.1-31) pertain to the Ibriy. We know this is so because the unfaithful servants are cast into outer darkness (v. 30).

The faithful slaves are the Ibriy people who trust in YAHSHUA while the unfaithful are the Ibriy who do not trust in Him. During the Great Tribulation there will be many Ibriy who refuse to believe in YAHSHUA and do not believe He will return to Earth. This should not be surprising since there are many so-called believers who do not believe YAHSHUA will return to Earth.

The warning for the people of the tribulation to stay alert because they will not know when YAHSHUA returns does not mean they cannot know when it will be. It is a general warning used to

encourage them to keep looking for His return so they are not caught by surprise. This warning does not prohibit anyone from knowing the exact day of the Lord's return. We have already seen that those with a basic knowledge of the Scriptures can know the day of the Second Advent by counting 1290 days from the day the beast stops the regular sacrifice and sets up the abomination of desolation (Dan 12.11).

The Parable of the Ten Virgins

(Leviy 25.1-13)

"Then the kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins, who take their lamps to go meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were prudent. The foolish ones did not take oil with them, but the prudent ones took oil in vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom delayed, they fell asleep.

"In the middle of the night a cry went out, `Behold, the bridegroom, go out to meet him.'

"The virgins got up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said, `Give us some of your oil, because our lamps have gone out.' "The prudent ones replied, "By no means do we have enough for you and us. Go to those selling oil and buy some for yourselves.' "As they went away to buy some oil the bridegroom came and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast, and the door was shut. Later the remaining virgins came and said, `Lord, Lord, open up.'

"He answered saying, `Truly I say to you, I know you not.'

"Watch therefore, because you do not know the day or the hour."

The parable deals with the nation of Yisrael and not the Assembly. It was given to the disciples who were living in the Old Testament dispensation. This parable and the one following it is part of the Olivet discourse which covers the seventieth week of Daniel's prophecy (9.24-27), the Great Tribulation.

In the Old Testament dispensation it was the custom of the bridesmaids to go out to meet the bridegroom when he came for his bride. The bridegroom is YAHSHUA who returns to Earth to marry His bride, the Assembly and the bridesmaids are the nation of Yisrael. Half of them will be ready when He returns while the other half won't.

Bible scholars are confused by the prophecy that "all Yisrael will be saved" (Rom 11.26). They think that all the Ibriy people in the Great Tribulation will be saved, but that simply isn't true. Many will be killed by the beast and half of those who remain alive at YAHSHUA'S coming will not believe the witness of the 144,000, the two witnesses and the angels. They will be raptured to the plains of Megiddo (Lk 17.34-37) and slaughtered by YAHSHUA when He returns (Apok 19.21). The Lord is emphatic in this parable that half of the Ibriy people will not be prepared when He returns. We know from the previous discourse about the unfaithful slaves and the following parable about the talents that the unfaithful slaves will be judged by YAHSHUA when He returns and cast into outer darkness to join the hypocrites where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Leviy 45-51; 25.30).

The unbelieving Ibriy people will want to enter into the Millennial Kingdom and join the wedding festival, but they will be judged instead. Some of them and other non-believers will argue with YAHSHUA contending that they should be allowed in (Leviy 7.22,23; 25.44), but they will be cast into the Lake of Fire to be tormented through all eternity (Leviy 25.41,46). There will be no pardon, no parole, no escape and no hope for them! Their fate will be sealed forever!

The Old Testament and Great Tribulation saints hold a lower position in the Millennial Kingdom than the Assembly Age saints. They cannot attain to the level of exaltation that the Assembly Age saints do (Leviy 11.11; I Kor 10.11).

YAHSHUA used this parable and the following one to warn the Ibriy people who He knew would refuse to believe in Him to look for His coming. The Ibriy believe the Mashiyach will come to Earth some day to establish His kingdom. They failed to understand that He had to come first to suffer for the sins of the elect and return to reign. Since they missed His first coming they are to look for His next appearance and not be caught by surprise or become wicked slaves (Leviy 24.42-51).

A good number of the Ibriy people will wake up during the Great Tribulation and search the Scriptures to discover what is going on. They will be joined by many who mistakenly thought they were saved. Some of them will figure out how to determine the day and hour of the Second Advent of YAHSHUA (Dan 12.11).

Even though it seems easy for us to know how to determine the day and hour of the Second Advent, it will be difficult for those in the Great Tribulation because satan and his gang of false prophets and teachers will do their best to confuse everyone (Leviy 24.23,24). It will be hard for most people to sift through all the disinformation to determine when YAHSHUA will return. Most will have to be alert (Leviy 24.32; 25.13) and look for His return every day.

The Parable of the Talents

(Leviy 25.14-30)

"For as a man going from home called his slaves and gave them his goods. To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his ability, and went from home. Immediately after he left the one who received five talents traded them and gained another five. In a similar way the one with two gained two more, but the one who received one went away and dug a hole hiding the silver of his lord.

"After much time the lord of the slaves came and settled accounts with them. The one who received five talents approached him bringing another five talents and said, `Lord, you gave to me five talents, behold I have gained five other talents.

"His lord said to him, `Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'

"The one who received two talents approached and said, "Lord, you gave to me two talents, behold I have gained two more.

"His lord said to him, `Well done good and faithful slave. You were faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'

"The one who received one talent approached and said, `Lord, I know that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow and gathering where you did not scatter. I was afraid and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold you have yours.'

"His lord answered him saying, `Evil and slothful slave, you knew that I reap where I do not sow and gather where I do not scatter? You should have given my silver pieces to the bankers, and when I came I would have received mine with interest. Therefore, take from him the talent and give it to the one who has ten talents. For to those who have will much be given, but from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. And the useless slave cast into the outer darkness where there will be wailing and gnashing of the teeth.'"

In this parable the man is YAHSHUA and His slaves are the Ibriy people. Even though they rejected Him they were still His slaves--that is what the seventieth week of Daniel is all about. During that final seven years of the Old Testament dispensation YAHSHUA will deal with the Ibriy people. Some of them will be faithful to YAHWEH during this period and will believe in YAHSHUA. Many of them will come to realize that YAHSHUA is the Mashiyach, but many will not. The ones who reject him are the wicked and lazy slave who is cast into outer darkness--into the Lake of Fire (Leviy 25.42).

This parable does not concern the Assembly because the Assembly is not on Earth at this time. They have been raptured to be with YAHSHUA during the Great Tribulation. Remember the entire Olivet discourse deals with the Great Tribulation and nothing else. No part of it has to do with the Assembly Age that ends with the rapture of the Assembly. These two parables have to do with those living during the Great Tribulation.

This parable must be compared with the parable of the nobleman who went to receive a kingdom and then return (Lk 19.11-27). The nobleman is YAHSHUA who received His kingdom in Heaven after His resurrection and will return at the conclusion of the Great Tribulation to establish His kingdom on Earth. It is the same parable with a slight difference.

In this version, which was given before the one in the Olivet Discourse, YAHSHUA explained what will happen to the people who openly rejected Him when He returns. A delegation met the nobleman before he departed telling him they no longer wanted him to rule over them. That delegation was the pharisees, scribes, sadducees and priests who crucified YAHSHUA. Their spiritual descendants who are alive at the Second Advent will be executed (Lk 19.27). Everyone who believes that YAHSHUA of Nazareth is not the Son of YAHWEH will be executed when He returns. The cause of their rejection of YAHSHUA doesn't matter. If it is due to ignorance or indoctrination they will be executed and cast into the Lake of Fire. One's spiritual heritage won't help anyone, especially the Jews. They are severely handicapped by their heritage for their spiritual fathers are the ones that YAHSHUA told this parable to and about.

Second Advent & Judgement of the Nations

(Leviy 25.31-46)

"When the Son of Man comes in His glory and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His throne of glory, and all the nations will be assembled before Him. He will separate them from one another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will set the sheep on His right and the goats on the left. Then the king will say to those on His right, `Come, blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom that has been prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

"`For I hungered and you gave Me food, and I thirsted and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you entertained Me, and I was naked and you clothed Me. I was sick and you visited Me and I was in prison and you came to Me.

Then the righteous ones will answer Him saying, `When did we see You hungry and feed You or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You sick or in prison and visited You?'

"The king will answer them saying, `Truly I tell you, inasmuch as you did to one of the least of My brothers, you did it to Me.'

"Then He will say to those on the left, `Go from Me cursed ones into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I hungered and you did not give Me food and I thirsted and you did not give Me drink. I was a stranger and you did not entertain Me, and I was naked and you did not clothe Me. I was ill and in prison and you did not visit Me.'

"Then they will answer saying, `Lord, when did we see You hungering or thirsting or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not minister to You?'

"Then He will answer them saying, `Truly I tell you, inasmuch as you did not do to the least, you did not do to Me.'

"These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

When YAHSHUA returns to establish His Millennial Kingdom he slaughters the wicked and holds court. The righteous who were raptured to safety in their physical bodies (Leviy 24.31; Apok 14.14-16) stand before Him along with the wicked who were killed during the Great Tribulation. The wicked are given immortal bodies and are judged. They are found guilty and are cast into the Lake of Fire (v. 41,46). The righteous are rewarded according to their works and enter the Millennial Kingdom in their physical bodies.

The people who entered the Millennial Kingdom will be given positions of rulership (v. 21,23). These individuals will have the highest positions of leadership in the Millennial Kingdom among the mortals. They will hold positions of leadership below that of the Old Testament and Great Tribulation saints (Yir. 30.9; Yech. 34.23,24; 37.24,25), and the New Testament saints. YAHSHUA will rule the Millennial Kingdom with His bride (Apok 2.26,27). We will rule over the Old Testament saints and the mortals.

YAHSHUA returns to Earth with His holy angels (2 Thes 1.7) and His bride (Yah 14; Apok 19.7,14). There is no one passage that says YAHSHUA will return with both His holy angels and His bride. You must consider all the passages that deal with His return to discover this vital fact. Many so-called scholars take one passage and use it as their proof text ignoring all related passages.

The Millennial Kingdom was prepared especially for the Old Testament and Great Tribulation saints. It will be a period of time that people will live in accordance with the Law of YAHWEH. When a person sins he will be executed (2 Yah 65.20). It is not a dispensation of grace, but of Law. Salvation will be by grace through faith, but since YAHSHUA Himself will reign from Yerushalom (Zak. 14.8,9,16,17) the amount of faith required will be much less than that in the former dispensations. Anyone who sins will demonstrate his lack of faith and pay the consequences. The tribulation saints who entered the Millennial Kingdom in their mortal bodies will not be able to sin--only their descendants will be able to.

A few so-called scholars claim that there is no Millennial Kingdom in which animal sacrifices will be offered. The Scriptures are emphatic about this. After the assault by Gog and Magog upon Yisrael (Yech 38,39) the temple is built and sacrifices are offered (Yech 40-48). The only time that what is described in these chapters can take place is during the Millennial Kingdom. They have not taken place yet and they cannot take place before the Second Advent.

The scoffers say it is absurd that people would offer sacrifices while YAHSHUA reigns on Earth, but they fail to understand the purpose of sacrifices during the Old Testament dispensation and the Millennial kingdom. They are not offered as a way to temporarily cleanse sins for they can never do that. It was simply an act of obedience that was required for fellowship with YAHSHUA.

Saints who failed to offer sacrifices in the Old Testament dispensation did not have fellowship with YAHSHUA. They did not have to do it to be saved, but they had to do it to have fellowship with their Savior.

Saints in the New Testament dispensation had to study the Scriptures daily (Acts 17.11), including hearing (Dt 6.3,4), reading (Leviy 21.42), memorizing (Ps 119.11) and meditating on Them (Ps 1.2), along with daily prayer (I Thes 5.17), regular fellowship with the brethren (Ibriy 10.24,25) and sharing the gospel with the lost when given the opportunity (Dt 6.8,9; Ps 57.9; I Keph 3.15) to have fellowship with YAHSHUA. Many believers do not do this, but they are still saved. Their fellowship with YAHSHUA is extremely limited or non-existent.

The people living in the Millennial Kingdom will have to offer sacrifices to have fellowship with YAHSHUA and to receive blessings from Him. Those who refuse to do this will be (Zak. 14.16-19). Those who fail to offer sacrifices and attend the feast of booths will most likely be the ones satan will recruit to attack Yerushalom at the end of the Millennial Kingdom (Apok 20.7-9).

Salvation is always by grace through faith in YAHSHUA in every dispensation, but fellowship with our Savior is different. You must compare all Scriptures which deal with a subject and let Them speak to you to get a full understanding. Let the HOLY SPIRIT teach you (I Yoch 2.27).

Salvation in the Great Tribulation is not based on works. It is by grace through faith in YAHSHUA, yet those who believe will perform good works just as believers in all dispensations have (Eph 2.10; Ibriy 11.4-40). Tribulation saints will care for the hungry, thirsty, naked, and strangers, and they will visit the sick and those in prison just as we do now (Yaq. 2.14-16; I Yoch 3.16-18).

The wicked will not be concerned about the plight of others during the Great Tribulation. They will be too busy trying to survive to bother. Many of them will be persecuting believers.

The Lake of Fire was specifically created to punish satan and the angels that followed him in rebellion. No one knows when it was created. It could have been created before satan sinned as a warning, but YAHWEH may not have warned them. I believe that the angels were told that they had to obey Him 100% and that if they disobeyed Him they would be punished. The Lake of Fire was most likely created at the time the angels were and was a ever present warning to them.

The wicked who die in the Great Tribulation are judged when YAHSHUA returns, are found guilty and cast into the Lake of Fire (vs. 41,46). They are judged before the rest of the wicked who burn in hell (Lk 16.23,24) until the Great White Throne Judgement (Apok 20.11-15). Everyone else who has died in their sins is judged at this final judgement. They are judged according to their works (Apok 20.12) and are paid the wages of sin (Rom 6.23) the second death (Apok 20.14; 21.8).

Everyone who dies in their sins is judged and then cast into the Lake of Fire which becomes their eternal home. This is the only place in the universe that the wicked can exist. Every man, woman and child who died in his sins will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire with satan, the fallen angels and the offspring of the angels who mated with women (Gen 6.4).

Every living being who is cast into the Lake of Fire will be tormented with burning sulphur continuously, through all eternity (Apok 14.9-11; 20.10). There will be no parole, no pardon, no escape and no hope! The judgement is final and eternal! No one in the Lake of Fire is cremated out of existence. Instead every being will be tormented every split second through all eternity by the flames, the burning sulphur (sulphur dioxide), the heat, unquenchable thirst, the screams of 50 billion plus people, gnashing of teeth, physical cravings of every kind, memory of the times one rejected the gospel, assaults by those around them, including satan and the fallen angels, and torments which are not mentioned in the Scriptures.

The torments of the Lake of Fire will be so severe and inescapable that everyone will be at the point of death, but won't be able to die. Imagine being in such extreme pain that you know you are about to die, but you never do. The agony that every being will experience through all eternity will be so unbearable that no one will be able to endure it, yet they will be forced to.

If you care to avoid this indescribable punishment place your trust in YAHSHUA of Nazareth today. Admit that you are a sinner, ask Him to cleanse you of your sins with His blood that He shed on the cross, and give you eternal life through the power of His resurrection. Eternal life is far better than eternal punishment. A few decades of doing things your way is not worth eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire.

"For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? For what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" (Mk 8.36,37).
