HAL LINDSEY'S 200 MILLION MAN ARMY

JEFFREY & LINDSEY DEFEND THEIR 200 MILLION MAN ARMY

A CRITICAL EXAMINATION OF "THE FINAL BATTLE" (INTRODUCTION)

Hal Lindsey has written several books and they are filled with theological errors which have caused many to abandon their faith and led many into "Christianity" without being born from above while some have been truly saved.

Hal is not alone in propagating false teachings. There are thousands of men just like him who have spent very little time studying the Scriptures under the tutelage of the HOLY SPIRIT (I Yochanan-John 2.27), and a good deal of time studying commentaries and books about eschatology. Virtually all of the so-called "prophecy experts" have poor grounding in the Scriptures and are in need of being taught the "elementary principles of the oracles of YAHWEH" (Ibriy-Hebrews 5.12).

I recommend that every self-proclaimed "prophecy expert" lay aside all of his commentaries and books on eschatology and study the Scriptures alone for several years before they continue teaching on prophecy. They need to let the HOLY SPIRIT speak to them and shut off the voices of their peers.

Once one man makes an error it quickly spreads to most of the prophecy teachers. One error is multiplied a thousand fold and after 100 years of this eschatology is a doctrine that is so scrambled that no one understands the basic facts. The so-called top "prophecy teachers" need to stop propagating their erroneous teachings and spend the next decade studying the Word apart from all commentaries and books.

All preachers and Bible teachers need to follow a basic principle of study:

No man, local assembly, association, denomination or religion, including the Roman Catholic Church, can interpret the Scriptures (2 Keph 1.20,21). We can only understand what has been written by the teaching of the HOLY SPIRIT (I Yochanan-John 2.27). The proper way to understand Them is to take Them literally in a "wooden, literal sense." The only time we are not to take Scripture literally is when the Scriptures say something is symbolic (Apok-Rev. 17.9-12,15,18) and when it is physically impossible for something to be or to take place, and when common sense tells us it is symbolic.

We know that a physical dragon cannot cast one-third of the stars in space down to Earth (Apok. 12.3,4), but the devil who is called the great dragon (Apok. 12.9) can lead one-third of the angels in Heaven (Dan. 8.10) to rebel against YAHWEH and wreck havoc on Earth.

Common sense tells us that when YAHSHUA is called the "Lamb of YAHWEH" (Yochanan 1.29) it means He is not a literal lamb. It is symbolic of the fact that He is the paschal lamb sacrifice for the sins of the elect.

Men who try to interpret the Scriptures by not using a strict rule of understanding Them can make any passage say anything they want it to. This screwball method of interpretation has caused some men to claim the 200 million calvary of demons (Apok. 9.16) is the Red Chinese army, and that AIDS, which allegedly comes from African green monkies, is a fulfillment of wild beasts killing people (Apok. 6.8).
