Janusz Lewandowski proposed a direct levy earlier this week

Thursday August 12,2010

When Conservative prime minister Ted Heath pushed through Britain’s entry into the European Common Market in 1973 he told sceptical voters that the move would involve “no essential loss of sovereignty”. This promise was a blatant deception. As Heath knew only too well the entire European project has always been motivated by the determination to create a federal superstates.

Since Heath’s spectacular treachery in the early Seventies European federalists have gone a long way towards realising their dream. The Common Market, meant to be nothing more than an economic, free trade association between sovereign nations, has been transformed into the European Union, a political entity with wide-ranging influence over everything from immigration to crime.

Through remorseless powergrabbing the EU has acquired for itself all the trappings of a mighty state. It has its own
currency, flag, parliament, executive, army and legal system. Under the Lisbon Treaty, on which almost all the electorates of Europe were shamefully denied a vote, the EU has even established its own president, foreign minister and global diplomatic service.

But no state can be complete without some control of revenue. That is why the EU has long been desperate to have its own source of finance. At present its money comes largely from hefty contributions of its 27 member. In Britain’s case this amounts to a massive £15billion a year, far more than we spend on policing, universities, social services or prisons.

But power-hungry Eurocrats bristle at their dependency on EU members’ cash. To assert dominion over us they want the right to impose their own taxes. So this week EU Budget Commissioner Janusz Lewandowski proposed that Brussels should introduce a new form of direct European taxation to be levied on activities such as air travel,
bank transactions and carbon emissions. Predictably we are told this new EU tax is unlikely to be implemented because both Britain and Germany are strongly opposed.

But there are no grounds for complacency. History shows that when EU federalists want something they almost always get it, either by bullying or lies. The juggernaut keeps driving on towards European unity.
Threats of resistance have usually proved futile as the Irish discovered when they initially rejected the Lisbon
Treaty and then were ordered by the EU to vote again so they came up with the right result.

The unedifying career of Ted Heath shows that pledges to maintain British independence are empty rhetoric.

In the late 18th century the US colonies fought to gain independence from their oppressive British imperial masters, who took the Americans’ money but denied them any real say in their own governance. “No taxation
without representation,” was the battle cry of the US rebels. That is exactly the situation in Europe today. We are ruled by an unaccountable elite in Brussels who dictate our laws, control our borders and now want an even bigger slice of our money.

It is nothing short of a democratic outrage. None of the Eurocrats were elected to their posts – not Lewandowski, or the other commissioners, or the EU President. They behave like the worst sort of aristocrats of Europe’s
distant past, filled with a grotesque sense of entitlement and privilege.

An EU direct tax would sound the death knell for British independence. Our nation would become a province
within the Brussels empire, our Government reduced to a regional municipality. For the proposed
levy would just be the start of a slide towards EU control of all our finances.

Indeed, even before the implementation of Lewandowski’s scheme, the EU has been exploiting the fiscal crisis
to demand oversight of all member states’ budgets. Justifying a recent vast increase in Brussels bureaucracy the EU Commission said in Sovietstyle tones: “To deepen country surveillance it is necessary to
dedicate more resources to it.”

Given the EU’s record of epic profligacy the idea that Brussels will have its own revenue stream is truly sickening. The EU has nothing but contempt for the concept of fiscal responsibility.
For the last 15 years the European Court of Auditors has refused to give the EU’s accounts a clean bill of health
because of abuses. While all the national governments of Europe are trying to reduce expenditure the EU this year is looking to increase its £116billion budget by another six per cent, yet so much is
already wasted.

Bureaucracy is one major extravagance. Brussels has 313 pen-pushers who earn more than the British Prime Minister’s salary of £142,000, while at least 100 of them are on more than £180,000. The pension pot alone for Eurocrats is worth more than £1billion, to which British taxpayers must contribute £135 million a year.

More cash is frittered away on politically correct initiatives. Last week the EU agreed to spend £110million “to
strengthen social cohesion and combat poverty” in Morocco, while a £400million fund has been used to back projects such as a £700,000 “gender-equal wood design centre” in Sweden.

This nonsense will worsen if the new EU tax is agreed. Brussels is a racket that undermines our prosperity and
independence.

It would be better if Britain threw off this corrupt imperial yoke and regained control of our own destiny
.

"Europe's nations should be guided towards the super state without their peoples knowing what is happening. This can be accomplished by successive steps, each disguised as having an economic purpose, but which will eventually and irreversibly lead to federation." Jean Monnet

"To Achieve World Government it is necessary to remove from the minds of men their individualism, their loyalty to family traditions and national identification" Brock Chisholm - Director of the World Health Organization

"A society whose citizens refuse to see and investigate the facts, who refuse to believe that their government and their media will routinely lie to them and fabricate a reality contrary to verifiable facts, is a society that chooses and deserves the Police State Dictatorship it's going to get." Ian Williams Goddard

The fact is that "political correctness" is all about creating uniformity. Individualism is one of the biggest obstacles in the way of the New World Order. They want a public that is predictable and conditioned to do as it's told without asking questions.

We all know the evil things are that happening in this world, the murder, wars, abuse, cruelty and conspiracy. What we must remember is that we will through the force of our will and our higher judgment see through it all and bring about an awakening in each man their higher nature and seek to reveal evil and ignorance. The common man will be the force to bring to an end the abuses in this world through ones own wisdom and non cooperation with those who manipulate us. Once one has awoken there is no going back. BC
