Why All Believers Should Be Discipled

One of the primary duties of every pastor is to disciple faithful men so they can become pastors.

"And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men, who will be                able to teach others also." (2 Timothy 2.2)

Even though every pastor should choose faithful men to disciple they should also disciple every man in their flock so they can give a clear answer to everyone who asks them what they believe and why they believe it (1 Peter 3.15).  Yet fathers and husbands must be discipled so they can disciple their wives, sons, and daughters (Deut. 6.6,7; 11.19; Ps. 78.5; Prov. 1.8; 2.1; 3.1; 4.1; 6.20-21; 1 Cor. 14.34-35).
