Program for Pastors & Pastors in Training
After you complete each exercise have the person who is discipling you go over it with you. If you are taking this program via the Internet send an e-mail to DOV Ministries after you complete each exercise telling us you have completed it. If the exercise requires written work e-mail it to DOVM and we will critique it. beadisciple@yahoo.com
Even though you may have had Bible college or seminary training all of the exercises are important. You most likely completed the first seven exercises in at some time in your life, but go through them as a refresher course.
Complete each exercise in the order given:
1. Buy a Bible, buy a pocket New Testament, a Strong's Concordance and a New Testament Interlinear Bible. You can purchase them at most religious bookstores. If you have trouble finding them contact me. If you have the money you may want to buy -- Bible Handbook (Unger's, Haley's), Topical Bible, Bible Dictionary, Word Studies, Greek & Hebrew Lexicons.
2. Study the Gospel as presented on dov-dgospel1.htm
3. Study the primary salvation passages on dov-dgospel2.htm -- and memorize them so you can quote them at any time. There will be times when you forget to take your sword (Bible) and or dagger (New Testament) with you. If you have the key salvation passages memorized you can quote them.
4. Take the Faith Check on dov-dfaith.htm -- and keep it handy. Take it once a year or more often. If you are growing in the Lord you will see positive changes.
5. Set up your spiritual fitness program -- dov-dfitness.htm
6. Study the lesson on prayer -- dov-dprayer.htm
7. Learn how to share the Gospel -- dov-dshare.htm
8. Study the lesson on how to do an exegetical study -- dov-dexeg.htm
9. Do an exegetical study of the sanctification passages -- dov-dsanct.htm
10. Do exegetical studies of the most misunderstood passages -- dov-dexeg1.htm

B. Eternal Security
C. Baptism
D. Laying on of hands
E. Judgment of righteous and wicked (Don't forget to explain when the righteous and wicked are resurrected.)
F. Eternal life and eternal punishment (Describe what Heaven is like, what the New Jerusalem is like and also what Hell & the Lake of Fire are like.)
G. YAHSHUA (Include the virgin birth, His sinless life and sacrifice, His bodily resurrection, His 40 day post-resurrection ministry, His ascension and His deity and equality with the Father.)
H. YAHWEH the Father
I. HOLY SPIRIT
J. Trinity (Explain the doctrine of the Trinity as fully as possible.)
K. Rapture

12. Start exegetical studies of each book of the Bible.
A. If you can -- do your own translation of the books you do exegetical studies of.
B. If you can't do your own translation use an interlinear to examine the text. You will see some interesting things.
[Do not use commentaries, systematic theology books or any helps except those noted in Exercise One. Do your studies using the Bible as your only source relying on the HOLY SPIRIT to teach you (1 John 2.20, 27). Once you finish your exegetical and topical studies have the person discipling you go over them. If you are taking this program via the Internet -- e-mail them to DOVM -- beadisciple@yahoo.com You should consult commentaries to see if your conclusions are good.]
