Morgen begint de jaarlijkse Bilderbergconferentie en zoals altijd is die weer in nevelen gehuld wat betreft de onderwerpen en deelnemers. Uit de uitgelekte agenda blijkt dat op deze conferentie zal worden gesproken over het aanpakken van de anti-Lissabon beweging ‘Libertas’ via een lastercampagne tegen Declan Ganley, de leider van die beweging. Het blijft de elite, niet alleen de Europese, een doorn in het oog dat het verdrag nog steeds niet is geratificeerd. Zij wensen een krachtiger Europese Unie, ook al komt die er door ondemocratische spelletjes. Gezien ons Koningshuis en bewindspersonen regelmatig bij de conferentie aanwezig zijn, heb ik premier Balkenende en staatssecretaris Timmermans van Europese Zaken gevraagd politieke deelnemers zich te laten verzetten tegen zo’n lastercampagne. Hieronder mijn vragen:

1 - Is het u bekend dat van 14 tot 17 mei 2009 in Vouliagmeni te Griekenland de Bilderbergconferentie bijeenkomt?
Ja.
2 - Is het waar dat koningin Beatrix aan deze conferentie deelneemt?
Ja.
3 - Zijn er leden van het kabinet die aan deze conferentie deel zullen nemen? Indien ja, om wie gaat het?
Minister Hirsch Ballin heeft aan de conferentie deelgenomen.
4 - Is er in het kabinet afstemming over deelname aan deze conferentie of wordt dit aan individuele leden overgelaten? Is er overleg tussen de premier en de koningin over deelname aan de conferentie?
Nee. Er vindt geen afstemming plaats over deelname.
5 - Kunt u net als in 2008 de onderwerpen waarover zal worden gesproken alsmede een lijst van de deelnemers bekendmaken? Indien neen, waarom niet?
6 - Is het waar dat het Verdrag van Lissabon een prominente plaats op de agenda van deze Bilderbergconferentie inneemt?
7 - Kent u het bericht dat meldt dat op deze Bilderbergconferentie zal worden gesproken over het onschadelijk maken van de anti-Lissabon beweging ‘Libertas’ via een lastercampagne tegen Declan Ganley, de leider van die beweging? Bent u bereid koningin Beatrix of eventuele politieke deelnemers uit Nederland te verzoeken zich daartegen te verzetten?
In de bijlage treft u een persbericht van de conferentie aan waarin de onderwerpen worden vermeld. Daarnaast is een lijst van deelnemers toegevoegd. Evenals vorig jaar kan ik u melden dat in de conferentie in besloten sfeer wordt gesproken over deze onderwerpen. Het is goed gebruik dat over de gedachtewisseling geen mededelingen worden gedaan. According to Jurriaan Maessen’s translation, van Bommel writes, “From the leaked agenda we learn that there will be discussed how to deal with the anti-Lisbon movement ‘Libertas’ through a slander campaign against its leader Declan Ganley. It remains a serious setback for the elite, not just the European elite, that the treaty has still not been ratified’, Van Bommel explains. ‘They wish for a more powerful European Union, even it is realised through undemocratic games. Considering the regularly attendance of our royal house and ministers, I have asked Prime Minister Balkenende and Minister for European Affairs Timmermans to have the political participants withstand such a slander campaign.”

1- Are you aware that from May 14 to 17 2009 in Vouliagmeni, Greece, the Bilderberg conference is gathering?
2- Is it correct that Queen Beatrix will attend?
3- Are there members of the cabinet who will participate in the conference? If so, which members?
4- Is there a consensus in the cabinet on the participation of this conference or is this left to individual members? Is there deliberation between the Prime Minister and the queen in regards to participation?
5- Will you make public the items that will be discussed as well as a list of the participants? If not, why not?
6- Is it correct that the Lisbon-treaty will be prominent on the agenda of this Bilderberg-conference?
7- Are you familiar with the report that speaks of the planned discrediting of anti-Lisbon movement ‘Libertas’ with the help of a slander campaign against its leader Declan Ganley? Are you willing to request of Queen Beatrix or political participants from the Netherlands to withstand any such slander campaign?
This is another example of how the Internet can pierce through the international media blackout on Bilderberg and lead to hard questions being asked of world leaders in major European parliaments like the Netherlands.
We wait with anticipation as to whether or not the Dutch Prime Minister will be forced to answer van Bommel’s questions regarding his involvement with Bilderberg. Previous questions in the British House of Commons directed towards MP’s as well as former Prime Minister Tony Blair have led to little more than half-truths and lies.
In 1999, responding to a question about if he planned to attend the Bilderberg meeting in Portugal that year, Tony Blair claimed that, “There is no formal representation by the UK Government,” at Bilderberg Group meetings despite the fact that MP’s for both major political parties in Britain routinely attend Bilderberg.
Blair brazenly lied in front of Parliament again in October 2006 when, in response to a question regarding Bilderberg by MP Norman Baker, he stated, “I have not attended any such meetings,” despite the fact that he attended the 1993 Bilderberg meeting in Greece.

“If the Member of Parliament will receive any answers from the Prime Minister remains to be seen. But it is an encouraging sign that some in the political playing field will take their jobs seriously and do what every public servant should do when confronted with a plethora of the most powerful people in the world meeting in secret with no questions asked,” writes Maessen.
